Mistral Upgrades Le Chat with Deep Research Agent and Voice Mode

Mistral AI has expanded its Le Chat assistant with a suite of enterprise-focused features. The flagship update is “Deep Research,” a structured agent designed to autonomously plan, search, and compile detailed research reports. Alongside this, Mistral debuts “Voice mode” using its Voxtral model, offering low-latency conversational AI with natural voice interactions. These upgrades position Le Chat as a direct challenger to established incumbents like OpenAI’s ChatGPT Enterprise and Google’s Gemini for Workspace.

In addition to the research and voice enhancements, Le Chat now supports multilingual reasoning natively with the Magistral model. Users can seamlessly switch languages within chats, expanding accessibility for global teams. The new “Projects” feature allows users to group chats with their respective documents, research notes, and tools, making context management easier across different workstreams. A partnership with Black Forest Labs further boosts visual capabilities, adding native image editing directly in chats.
